Our education system is failing because there is not incentive to make sure that teachers are performing at high levels. A child's education should be a joint effort between the parents, the school, and the community. Teacher's should be held accountable and good teachers must be given all of the support that they need. I believe that we should eliminate the Department of Education and give more control to the states. Education is a local issue that the federal government manages only to complicate. |

1.) Implement term limits. Congressman was never intended to be a career choice. Career politicians got us into this mess and we must change the status quo. 2.) Scrap the tax code and move towards implementing the Fair Tax. I will also introduce legislation to implement territorial taxation. Companies should be able to bring profits made overseas back home tax free. 3.) Slash spending. I want to eliminate the EPA, the Department of Education, and the Department of Energy. We do not have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem. We must reduce the deficit and balance the budget. |
